This season is a start of the new chapret for ANOUKI. Should we call it a change? No, we’d prefer to say – moving forward. After 5 years since the debut runway show, there was an inevitable need for a fresh energy and excitement that we tried to bring with the latest collection.
It was a November of 2018, straight after the previous season’s show, when we had a meeting to select fabrics for Autumn/Winter season. End of the day, we looked at the fabric wall and it did look strange, darker than usual. It was black, a lot of black! For anyone who has been following ANOUKI collections knows that black is the last color you would expect from us, but suddenly it just felt right and we decided to experiment with various different fabrics of the very color. Shapes have also become much more solid this time – bold and sharp – think of a loose fit tailored blazer, mixed with masculine shape pants and square toe black leather flats. Although, we could not miss our signature shades, so you can find some variations on pink, blue and yellow in some very feminine shapes.
End of the day, ANOUKI is all about sparkle – which is never enough for all the ANOUKI ladies. But, the use of crystals has also been intimate this time – they are not excessively in your eyes, but hidden here and there, as an exciting surprise. Overall, collection is all about ANOUKI girl, who is on her way of becoming a mature woman and needs a shift in her wardrobe. So, we followed her…to the airport.
